Sunday Worship Ministries
Acolyte – Carries the cross in procession, lights and extinguishes candles, and assists the priest at the altar.
Altar Guild – The members of the Altar Guild are deeply committed men and women dedicated to serving our Lord. They faithfully prepare the Altar for the Celebration of the Eucharist and when needed, for any other Sacraments and Offices of the Church. We would like to invite you to consider joining the Altar Guild Ministry. You would be part of a 2 or 3-persons team preparing for the Worship Services. Each team divides the work to suit their schedule. If you prefer the “quietness” of serving, this most important Ministry is for you. We are always in need of helping hands.
Coffee Hour – At the 8:00 service you are responsible for preparing the 2 coffee pots on the counter by the office. At the 10:00 service, we always have 2 people assigned to work together. You are responsible for preparing the coffee prior to the service so it is ready by the time coffee hour starts and providing some type of light snacks which might include pastries, cookies, fruits or other items of your choosing. You are also responsible for clean-up, including the two coffee pots on the counter by the church office.
Lector – You are responsible for reading the Lessons of the day and leading the congregation in the Psalm and Prayers of the People. You will be emailed copies of the lessons and prayers no later than the Thursday prior to the Sunday you are reading.
Usher – Ushers hand out service leaflets, assist with seating if needed, count and record the attendance for each service, direct parishioners to where communion is being distributed, help to evacuate people in case of an emergency.
